Visit my "HELP THE TIGER" to the left. You can also visit the
World
Wildlife Fund (WWF) webpage and see how you can contribute.
I'm doing a report and need info, can you help me out?
All the information you should need will either be in the "Current Situation" or the "General
Information" links. If you need something specific, e-mail me and I'll see
if I can help.

All I ask is that you're VERY selective and take little. I also request that you give this
webpage credit for whatever of it I did. Things that I specifically stated as coming from
other webpages can be taken without giving this site credit. One final note: Please do not
replicate ANYTHING from the "Stories from India" page. Also please keep in mind that in
general, it isn't very useful to put something on the web that's already there.
You're unfortunately missing the entire concept of this webpage and ecological organizations
that want to preserve tigers. By trying to acquire a tiger, you create a market for tiger trade
and ultimately harm the future wild tigers. Regardless if you're intention is to own a cub
borne by tigers in capivity or not, you are still creating an atmosphere where they won't be
left alone (which is the best way for them to thrive). You should also keep in mind that male
tigers are three times the size of the world's strongest men and could kill a human within
seconds if he felt like it. These are not domestic pets; and thinking that they are equivalant
to a domestic animal is a big mistake. Furthemore, by keeping a tiger you disregard their
instinct, bahaviors, preferences et cetera. If you truly cared for tigers (which I know you
do), you should let them live in peace, where they're the happiest.
Definitely, this faq is an attempt for me to cut down on the repeativity of e-mails I receive,
not to discourage people from contacting me. I generally reply to e-mails within three-four
days. If you'd like to contact me for whatever reason, feel free.
Since wild tigers only reside in Asia, the most logical way for someone in the western
hemisphere to help is to donate money. But there are obviously other ways. In my 'Help the
Tiger' there's a link to a webpage where you can start your own petition to save the tigers.
Another option (that VERY FEW take) is to actually travel to Asia and physically donate your
time to the preservation efforts.
You can also 'adopt' a tiger through the World Wildlife Fund, but that again takes a lot of
money. Also, you can periodically click on my banner (not the pop-up one) which raises money
ONLY for the wild Bengal tigers in the Melghat Tiger Preserve.
I try to have an update every eight to ten weeks; but lately that hasn't been occurring due
to other responsibilities. I try to go no more than a couple of months before adding to it.
With certain file types (including .zip, .avi, .mov, etc.), Tripod's server takes you to another page
before you can download the file. If you're using Getright or Gozilla, I would suggest disabling
them.
The quickest answer to this question is to go to the "Tiger Threats" page. To save the tiger, we need
to address the issues presented on this page. Since there is no single answer to the threats listed on
the page, they're are several answers. Some of the more logical answers are inherent in the page.
